Productive Rehabilitation Institute of Dallas for Ergonomics

Our mission:

PRIDE was established as a comprehensive, functional restoration program for patients with spinal dysfunction and its primary goal was to provide to these patients the finest health care possible. To achieve this goal, the Mayers assembled outstanding professionals in health care to work as an interdisciplinary team. The work of this group has resulted in care for spinal patients, which has maintained a steady posture as the leaders of the scientific and medical communities. PRIDE's reception of the 1985 Volvo award for clinical sciences from the International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine demonstrates how quickly PRIDE has become the standard bearer for treatment of chronic spinal dysfunction. With its treatment philosophy and clinical success firmly established, PRIDE is expanding into disability with other musculoskeletal disorders to further solidify PRIDE's status as a national leader in health care.

This rehabilitation program promotes basic human rights, dignity, health and safety of all patients served. We provide equal service for chronic pain patients without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, age, sex or physical handicap.

The clinic also serves as an educational environment for medical students and residents from the University of Texas at Arlington to the fundamentals of evaluation and treatment of patients afflicted with chronic pain. Our clinic also fulfills its role as a member of a community of scholars collecting and analyzing data for clinical research with the goal of adding to the fund of medical knowledge to improve patient care and to enhance the satisfaction of all stakeholders involved. PRIDE collects and analyses data including, but not exclusive to, treatment satisfaction, functionality, return to work, continued health utilization, pain levels, demographics, and many other variables to improve program quality and standard of care.
